Chronicle.
Born on a wintry morning to King Agnarr and Queen Iduna of Arendelle, Elsa Rita Iduna Arensdotter had no way to anticipate the great destiny that lay ahead of her. It was quickly discovered by her parents that the heir to the throne somehow was born with a powerful magic that allowed her to harness the powers of ice and snow, even at her infancy. Agnarr, whose people feared magic and sorcery and saw it as an omen of something sinister, feared for his newborn daughter's life. Though it pained him and Iduna greatly, they agreed that Elsa's powers could not be made known to the kingdom.
Little over two years after Elsa had been born, Queen Iduna conceived again. This time, the child born was the near opposite of Elsa's in every way. A summer child, with bright red hair, and no magic. However, none of that mattered to the young heiress; she instantly bonded to her new baby sister, Anna. The two became inseparable siblings, and as Anna grew she came to treasure her elder sister's magic as something special.
When Elsa was eight and Anna just turned five, 'the accident' happened. They had been playing a game when Elsa accidentally struck Anna in the head with a blast of her magic.It was decided that, until Elsa could better master her powers, that it would be safer to keep the two girls apart so another accident would not happen. Elsa reluctantly agreed, despite being terrified about the idea of losing her sister for good.Agnarr and Iduna, heartbroken over the state of their family, had made secret plans to potentially find a way for Elsa to control her powers and their family to unite once more. However, a fatal storm on the dark seas sent them and the crew of their ship to their dooms, leaving Elsa the new queen of their nation. For three years, she prepared to take on the role publicly under the tutelage of the family's mentor, Viktor Peterssen.The day of the coronation came, and though the day started well, it ended in disaster. An argument between the sisters led to the discovery of Elsa's powers. Now deemed a witch, she fled her home for the safety of the mountains that loomed high above the valley. She built for herself a palace made of ice and prepared to exile herself for the rest of her life. However, Anna had different plans.
